National Instruments 9F-9F Serial Cable
The 9F-9F is a Serial Cable from National Instruments, which is also referred to as a GPIB Serial Cable. This cable comes with 9-Pin, female-to female, DB-9 connectors. You can deploy this cable with an extensive range of devices. The NI 9F-9F Serial Cable supports both RS232 and RS485 serial ports. National Instruments 9F-9F Serial Cable is available for purchase under several part numbers. For RS232 support, there is a 1-meter version (Part Number: 182238-01), 2-meter version (Part Number: 182238-02), and 4-meter version (Part Number: 182238-04). In addition, there are the same lengths available with RS485 support, which includes a 1-meter version (Part Number: 183283-01), 2-meter version (Part Number: 183283-02), and 4-meter version (Part Number: 183283-04).
The 9F-9F Cable is manufactured for systems where the two devices that need to be connected have male DB-9 connectors. However, it can also be used with female DB-9 connectors with the help of a male/female serial converter.
This Serial Cable also supports GPIB control applications. For up to 1-kilometer extension of your GPIB system, you can use this cable in conjunction with an appropriate GPIB extender and optical fiber cable.
