The National Instruments PXI-5690 PXI RF Amplifier (Part Number: 779465-01), is a 2-channel, 3 GHz programmable module that offers fixed gain and configurable gain in a 3U PXI single-slot module. The NI PXI-5690 has gain and noise qualities that upgrade the dynamic range and affectability of PXI RF Signal Vector Analyzers. The PXI-5690 can automatically omit its gain by associating with a direct path. This usefulness enhances the testing and checking execution of the NI PXI-5690 PXI RF Signal Analyzer by changing the dynamic range to easily monitor extremely weak and strong signals.

The PXI-5690 is intended to be associated with RF vector signal analyzers, such as, the NI PXI-5660. The National Instruments PXI-5690 is a simple gadget that enhances or constricts its input signal as indicated by the predetermined path and gain settings. No triggering plan is required.

In this model, (CH 0) works as a settled gain preamplifier with a range gain of 30 dB. This channel offers a low noise figure and a level frequency reaction, so the user can utilize CH 0 as they would use a customary fixed gain preamplifier. On the other hand, (CH 1) works as a programmable preamplifier containing two client selectable paths.

On the NI PXI-5690, the main path is the primary path and consists of fixed gain enhancement preceded by a step attenuator that is movable by programming in 1 dB nominal steps according to client specified gain settings. The operating gain of the output is between - 10 and +20 dB. The direct path, on the other hand, gives you the alternative of bypassing the attenuator-intensifier hardware. This path is valuable for taking care of higher power inputs that may cause distortion in the RF preamplifier.
