The 780321-01 from National Instruments is an identifying part number for the PXIe-1082, which is an 8-slot PXIe chassis. Designed for versatile applications in test and measurement systems, this chassis features a sturdy structural design and a high performance power supply- providing the best of both worlds in terms of reliability and usability.
The chassis is appropriate for demanding test and measurement applications since it can manage data transmission rates of up to 8 GB/s and is made to accept a broad variety of PXI Express modules. With two dedicated PXI Express slots and four hybrid slots, it offers versatile module compatibility. For precise synchronization in time-sensitive applications, the chassis additionally incorporates a PXI Express System Timing Slot.
The 780321-01 is guaranteed to work with a variety of power sources due to its operational voltage range of 90 to 264 VAC and AC input range of 100 to 240 VAC. A 10 A circuit breaker is used to provide over-current protection, which improves safety while in use.
In order to provide optimal airflow from the bottom to the top of the modules, the chassis uses two 110 cfm fans to drive air circulation for effective cooling. Exhaust is routed along the top, sides, and bottom of the chassis, with the module cooling intake located at the bottom rear. On the right and left sides of the chassis, respectively, are the intake and exhaust for the forced air circulation system used by the power supply cooling system.
In terms of operating environment, the chassis can function within an ambient temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C and a relative humidity range of 10% to 90%, non-condensing. For storage, it can withstand temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 71 °C and a relative humidity range of 5% to 95%, non-condensing.
The 780321-01 chassis meets stringent shock and vibration standards, with operational shock resistance up to 30 g peak and half-sine pulse of 11 ms. It can withstand random vibrations ranging from 5 to 500 Hz.
