National Instruments 778572-33 PXI Matrix Switch Module

The National Instruments 778572-33 is a 1-Wire 4x64 PXI matrix switch module. It is also identified as PXI-2533 and is specially designed for high-channel-count automated test systems. This module features solid-state relays (SSRs) that offer an unlimited mechanical lifetime and the capacity to route 55 W simultaneously across all channels. The SSRs ensure rapid switching with an operate time of 724 µs, and a maximum scan rate of 400 crosspoints per second. 

The 778572-33 module has top-notch input specifications that support a maximum switching voltage of ±55 VDC or 30 VACrms, with a maximum switching power of 55 W and a current capacity of up to 1 A. It offers a DC isolation resistance of greater than 2 GΩ, and a low offset voltage of 2 µV, which ensure minimal signal interference. The total path resistance from row to column is 1 Ω. The RF performance characteristics include a typical single crosspoint bandwidth of over 1.5 MHz in a 50 Ω system. The crosstalk levels are less than -40 dB at 10 kHz and less than -20 dB at 100 kHz. The 778572-33 module’s triggering capabilities include input triggers from PXI trigger lines <0…7> with a minimum pulse width of 70 ns and output triggers to the same lines with a software-selectable pulse width ranging from 1 µs to 62 µs. These features enable synchronized and coordinated testing procedures. This is a compact module that occupies one slot in a 3U PXI/cPCI chassis with dimensions of 21.6 cm x 2.0 cm x 13.0 cm.
