National Instruments PXIe-MIO5101 PXI Multifunction I/O Bundle
The PXIe-MIO5101 (Part Number: 867124-03) from National Instruments is a complete PXI Multifunction I/O Bundle designed for the fastest automated test and measurement applications. This integrated solution provides a complete data acquisition platform based around the PXIe-6363 module, a flexible DAQ card with 32 analog inputs channels, 48 digital I/O lines, and 4 analog output channels. The module is hosted in a scalable PXIe-1083 5-slot chassis to form a rugged basis for a modular instrument system. For quick integration, the bundle includes essential accessories such as two SCB-68A terminal blocks and shielded cables for immediate connection to many types of sensors and actuators.
This PXI bundle is designed to give such very high measurement accuracy and performance. The PXIe-6363 module has 16-bit resolution analog inputs capable of sampling at rates in excess of 2 MS/s so that dynamic signals can be accurately recorded. The four 16-bit analog output channels can produce complex waveforms. The 48 digital lines can simulate a variety of different protocols or be used for control tasks. The four 32-bit timers/counters allow for the interfacing with encoders, PWM (pulse-width modulation) and frequency measurements. The presence of a very fast Thunderbolt interface allows for rapid transfer of data to a host computer, which is essential for applications that are data-intensive.
Designed for research, correlation and production test facilities, the PXIe-MIO5101 bundle can be used for applications in the aeronautical, automotive, and industrial control markets. The PXIe-1083 chassis gives secure operation and a sound power and cooling basis for all modules. The modular PXI Express architecture gives a future-proof route for system expansion and hence additional instruments such as oscilloscopes or switches can be incorporated. This bundle gives a perfect and high-performance solution for engineers involved in data acquisition and control problems when performance, speed and rugged reliability are essential.
