National Instruments RMX 4004 Electronic Load Device
The National Instruments RMX-4004 (Part Number: 786530-01) is an Electronic Load Device. The device contains 2 electronic load channels, a voltage range from 0 V to 80 V, and measure current from 0 A to 5 A and 0 A to 40 A. The NI RMX-4004 features qualities to qualify for power design and validate functioning of power supplies in an industrial production environment. The end user can combine the National Instruments RMX-4004 device with customized test systems, depending upon the number of channels. This combination also depends upon the current and voltage provided by each channel and the max load power. The end user can connect several RMX-4004 Electronic Load Devices in parallel to deliver power to test the power supply. This capability of the NI RMX-4004 enables versatility in projects that demand differing power values.
The NI RMX-4004 Electronic Load Device has configurable capabilities of DC power sinking to achieve power source characterization and power source testing. The National Instruments RMX-4004 Electronic Load Device has the capability to sink power at a variety of voltages and current level for inspecting the quality, design of the power supply, and functionality tests.
The National Instruments RMX-4004 Electronic Load Device contains some buttons and knobs for the user’s convenience. Additionally, the RMX-4004 device has several interface options available for the end user: an RS-232 port and a universal serial bus (USB) port. The NI RMX-4004 Electronic Load Device complies with the EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) standards EN 61326-1 & EN 61326-2 -1.
