National Instruments 777459-21 Isolated Analog Input Module

Part Number 777459-21 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments SCC-AI02  Isolated Analog Input Module. This module can extract low-amplitude input signals so that the  E/M Series DAQ devices can measure them. Likewise, this module can also amplify and filter the signals leading to a higher measurement resolution and accuracy. 

To set up the 777459-21, you will need a SCC-68 Terminal Block or a SC-2345/2350, a 68-pin E/M Series DAQ device, and a 68-pin cable. The device works with the latest version of the NI-DAQmx and you can use LabVIEW for application development. 

The 777459-21 has an input voltage range of ±20 V and an output range of ±10 V. The module requires an analog power of 410 mW max (13.67 mA max at ± 15 V), whereas the digital power requirement is 650 mW max (130 mA max at +5V). The channel-to-earth isolation is 60 VDC (continuous) or 2300 Vrms (withstand) and there is no channel-to-channel isolation.  

The module has a gain of 0.5 and features a low pass filter with a bandwidth of 10 KHz. There are two NRSE (Non-Referenced Single Ended) input channels and the input impedance is 1 MΩ. The gain error and gain stability are 4.5% max ( trimmable to zero) and 150 PPM/°C respectively. Likewise, the offset error and offset stability are 40 mV max(RTI2) and 225 µV/°C respectively. The typical common-mode rejection ratio is 100 dB at 60 Hz and the output slew rate is 0.8  V/µs max (dependent on bandwidth). The available filter has 3 poles and a rolloff of 60 dB/decade.

The I/O connectors on the 777459-21 include a 20-pin right-angle male connector and a 4-pin removable screw terminal. The screw terminal wire gauge has a diameter of 24 to 12 AWG.
