National Instruments SCC-SG01 Strain Gage Module

Featured with two Differential Input (DI) Channels, the NI SCC-SG01 (Part Number: 777459-13) is a Quarter Bridge Strain Gage Module by National Instruments. With this module, you can use one active strain gage element. This quarter bridge comes with field-replaceable completion resistors. You can easily replace the completion resister by accessing the completion resistor compartment at the rear side of the device. In addition, you can replace the nulling resistors and shunt resistors according to your requirements. The NI SCC-SG01 allows you to scale the received voltage signal to an appropriate strain unit. This conversion is completed in NI-DAQmx automatically. However, you can also use voltage to stain conversion equations to convert voltage measurements to strain units manually.

This Strain Gage Module comes with 2 differential strain gage channels and can receive input signals over a range of ±100 mV. The NI SCC-SG01 comes with integrated overvoltage protection that is set to actuate on ±28 VDC in the powered on and powered off state of the device. This module has one excitation channel and can provide +2.5 VDC, ±0.4% excitation level, 42 mA2 current drive, and 13 mV/°C drift. The National Instruments SCC-SG01 module features a 1.6 kHz lowpass filter, an instrumentation amplifier, and a potentiometer. The integrated potentiometer is used for the nulling of the bridge-offset. This module operates with 100 gain and 10 MΩ input impedance and requires around 143 mW of current.  The inclusion of the lowpass filter ensures accurate measurements even in the noisiest environments.

SCC-SG01 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
