National Instruments VXI-SC-1102B Multiplexer Amplifier Module

The VXI-SC-1102B is a reliable Multiplexer Amplifier Module. The manufacturer of the VXI-SC-1102B multiplexer is National Instruments. The VXI-SC-1102B module is not a stand-alone module. The VXI-SC-1102B is known as a submodule of a large VXI-SC system. The other components or submodules of a VXI system are a carrier module and VXI-SC submodules. A VXI-SC system can have a single submodule or multiple SC submodules. The VXI-SC-1000 module is used as a carrier module in a VXI-SC system. The NI VXI-SC-1102B amplifier module is one of the SC submodules used in a VXI-SC system. As the name suggests, the VXI-SC-1000 carrier module carries the VXI-SC-1102B. There are sub-slots available in the VXI-SC-1000 in which the VXI-SC-1102B or any other submodule is installed.

This Multiplexer Amplifier Module is equipped with 32 analog input channels and one cold-junction sensor channel. Each channel of the VXI-SC-1102B has a 3-pole low-pass filter. This low-pass filter with a cutoff frequency of 200 Hz. Each channel of the National Instruments VXI-SC-1102B is equipped with an amplifier. The amplifier gain of the NI VXI-SC-1102B is selectable as 1 or 100.  

The VXI-SC-1102B is capable of operating in multiplexer mode to generate a single output by multiplexing its inputs. This single output can drive a VXI-MIO board. The VXI-SC-1102B is used in multiplexer mode in those applications where the number of digitizable inputs is high. The NI VXI-SC-1102B is capable of signal conditioning different types of components, such as volt and millivolt sources having a low-bandwidth, thermocouples, and current sources.

VXI-SC-1102B Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
