RADX Technologies PXIe-GbE-2x100GbE-CX6 Catalyst PXIe-GbE NIC Module
Built upon the patent-pending Catalyst-X Carrier Card from RADX Technologies, the PXIe-GbE-2x100GbE-CX6 is a versatile PXIe-GbE Network Interface Card module. This commercial-off-the-shelf device is designed for a single-slot, offering an incredibly high throughput of 100 GbE for complex test and measurement applications within standard PXIe and CPCIe systems. The architecture of this module guarantees full use of its bandwidth by using a PCIe Gen 4 x8 host interface. The integrated controller on the module is a NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-6 PCIe NIC, specifically the MCX623106AN-CDAT. This controller offers native support for the IEEE-1588v2 Precision Time Protocol, which ensures hardware-level synchronization.
The PXIe-GbE-2x100GbE-CX6 features two high-speed QSFP28 / QSFP56 transceiver ports which support dual 100 GbE connections. Robust hardware-based network acceleration is made possible by the ConnectX-6 architecture, and it features support for RDMA protocols as well as hardware offload for IPsec. The PXIe-GbE module supports a number of widely used operating systems, such as Windows (10 and 11) and Linux. The module eliminates the requirement for any bespoke RADX drivers by utilizing NVIDIA Mellanox drivers.
One of the standout features of the Catalyst module is it's support for GPUDirect, which enables direct and low-latency data transfers by bypassing the host CPU to communicate directly between the network interface card and the in-chassis GPUs. The module runs with incredible efficiency, using roughly 27 Watts of power each slot. The module's compatibility with common PXIe and CPCIe chassis (such those made by Pickering, Keysight, and National Instruments) makes it very simple to adapt to customer requirements. The compact form factor of the PXIe-GbE-2x100GbE-CX6 implements high-bandwidth interfaces while maximizing the slot density of the chassis.
This module was developed and produced in the United States and conforms with both the Buy American Act (BAA) and the Trade Agreements Act (TAA). Because of this, it's a great option for demanding applications like signals intelligence and electronic warfare. Additionally, it is utilized for real-time data gathering, networked devices under test, automated test equipment, and high-speed data streaming.
