A sustained transmission routing application can reliably be routed for 24 VA each day of the year. Non latching armature relays switch in a consistent manner over a number of routing sequences within an installed system. The relay mechanisms automatically switch to the open state during the start-up procedures and during controlled shutdown operating sequences. Within controlled testing environments, minimum relay lifespan is reliably obtained for unloaded switching cycles for 5 x 10E6 operations. The radio frequency multiplexer functions in the form of a slave only VXI module with no integrated shared memory resources. The P1 connectors offer reliable backplane communication between switching assemblies and installed VXI instrumentation frameworks.
