Keysight/Agilent M9152A PXI RF Multiplexer
The Keysight M9152A PXI RF Multiplexer is a 1x8, 75 ohms, switching module for use in routing RF/Video-Frequency (RF/VF) signals within PXI Test Systems. Originally found under the manufacturer Agilent, this multiplexing system has two-way signal paths up to 3 GHz; therefore, this module can be used in all types of test setups or instrumentation systems where a clean signal transmission path and/or high-speed signal switching capabilities are critical. The 75 ohms input impedance makes this module compatible with all applications requiring video-RF signal handling and impedance-sensitive signal paths.
This multiplexing system allows eight separate output channels to be combined into one small module, allowing test engineers to greatly simplify their routing architectures by eliminating redundant external switching components. This module is designed for 30V, 1A, and 10W switching requirements common to most RF routing functions found in today's modern systems. In addition to its switching capabilities, the M9152A offers excellent isolation properties, i.e., 52 dB @ 1GHz of isolation among other frequencies. These superior isolation properties minimize interaction among channels during test operations while providing an accurate representation of measurements taken from these channels.
To make setup and teardown of tests easier, this module has high-quality SMB connectors for secure snap-on connections. The low insertion loss and controlled VSWR of the M9152A ensure better signal integrity on each path, thus preserving measurement quality as signals pass through the switching matrix. Since the Keysight M9152A has been engineered for repeatable RF performance, consistent test sequences may be performed across multiple channels.
When utilized in PXI RF switching applications where automated selection from one of eight available paths is necessary, the Keysight/Agilent M9152A operates by automatically selecting the desired path. As such, this module is a logical solution for RF signal routing, compliance testing, communication equipment validation, and video signal distribution in industrial and electronic test environments.
