Tektronix TDS2004B Oscilloscope
The Tektronix Oscilloscopes TDS2004B can take samples of the signal in uniformly divided interims to fabricate the waveform. This method precisely represents the signals most of the time. In any case, this mode does not obtain quick variations in the signal that can occur between the samples. This can result in aliasing and can cause the loss of the narrow pulses. In these cases, the user should utilize the Peak Detect mode to acquire data instead.
The self-calibration routine for this model gives the user a chance to upgrade the oscilloscope signal path for maximum estimation exactness. The user can run the routine at any moment, but should always run the routine if the ambient temperature changes by 5 C or more. To remunerate the signal path, disengage any probes or cables from the front-board input connectors. At that point, push the UTILITY button, select the Perform Self Cal option and follow the directions on the screen. The oscilloscope digitizes waveforms by obtaining the estimation of an input signal at discrete focuses. The time base enables the user to control how frequently the values are digitized. To modify the time base to a level scale that suits the user’s purpose, utilize the SEC/DIV knob.
The user can change the vertical position of waveforms by moving them up or down in the display. To compare data, the user can adjust a waveform over another or they can adjust waveforms over each other. They can also change the vertical size of a waveform. The waveform display will contract or expand about the ground level.
