Keithley 2611B Source Measure Unit
The Keithley 2611B Source Measure Unit is an instrument of high performance with advanced electrical measurement and characterization. Utilizing Keithley’s third-generation SMU technology, the 2611B consists of a precision power source, a highly accurate current source, and a 6½-digit digital multimeter in a single instrument. This configuration offers sourcing and measurement in a single instrument, and thus serves as an excellent application device for use in applications ranging from semiconductor device testing and I-V characterization to production test systems in an automated mode.
The 2611B is a four-quadrant instrument, capable of supplying and sinking power as required by the device under test. It features a dynamic range that encompasses high-current pulses to very low voltage levels, so that measurements are valid under varying conditions. Its built-in Test Script Processor runs test programs internally, which minimizes communication latencies and increases testing productivity. Also, the TSP-Link expansion feature allows connecting several units and thereby offering a synchronized, multi-channel test system that readily accommodates changing test needs.
The built-in web browser interface simplifies remote control and data capture, and enables remote control from any PC. In addition to this, the device also supports the use of mobile applications, and enables plug-and-play I-V characterization to be performed from Android tablets. Communication interfaces such as USB 2.0, GPIB, RS-232, Ethernet, and digital I/O enable simple integration into existing laboratory and production systems. Software emulation of earlier versions of the unit is also supported, and enables simple upgrade of legacy test systems.
Designed specifically for semiconductor device measurement, optoelectronic measurement, and reliability measurement, the 2611B offers precise voltage and current programming, and rapid settling times. Internal instrument architecture minimizes noise and overshoot, and captures very sensitive measurements precisely. This SMU is designed to survive in harsh operating conditions, and contains intelligent features for automating tests and saving you time and increasing productivity in the process.
