TDK Lambda HFE1600-S1U Power Supply Shelf Rack
The TDK Lambda HFE1600-S1U is a nineteen inch rack mounted power supply shelf system. This shelf is designed to house up to five HFE1600 series power modules. The model provides five rear AC input connections via IEC320-C16 type connectors for power. The four blank panels ship together with the rack to cover any unused module slots. The shelf rack chassis is built using corrosion resistant sheet steel for added mechanical durability. This construction lets the rack handle harsh industrial environments. The guide rails inside the shelf align each power module for tool free front insertion. The internal busbars inside the model carry output power evenly to all five modules.
The Power Supply Shelf Rack is internally wired for single output operation across five module positions. Each rear IEC320-C16 inlet accepts standard AC mains cabling for its installed module. The current sharing circuitry lets power modules installed in the rack operate in parallel. This parallel operation gives full redundant hot swap capability for critical loads. The shelf rack supports two hundred sixty six amperes per side. The total current across both sides of the model reaches five hundred thirty two amperes. Five installed modules can deliver up to seventy six hundred watts of power. The model supports power modules fitted with an optional PMBus interface for monitoring. One slot in the rack can instead hold a plug in LAN communication module. This LAN option allows remote monitoring of HFE1600 modules over a network link. The status signals like AC fail and DC good remain available on each module.
Installing the HFE1600-S1U Power Supply Shelf Rack requires secure mounting within a properly grounded nineteen inch rack frame. Technicians should disconnect AC inputs before adding or removing modules. Each connector on the rack must be wired per local electrical codes. Incorrect wiring at the rear connectors can cause equipment damage or injury. Operators should always keep ventilation openings on the rack clear during normal operation. Only qualified personnel should access the busbars and connectors of the power supply shelf rack. The model should be checked periodically for secure module seating and connector integrity.
