The HWS600-24 AC/DC Converter from TDK Lambda is a 600 W enclosed power supply designed for industrial applications. The unit delivers regulated 24 V output with high reliability. It provides 27 A output current supporting continuous operation requirements. The design incorporates conformal coating protection enhancing durability within challenging operating environments over extended periods. The unit accepts universal input voltages from 85 V AC through 265 V AC ranges with stable performance. The power architecture achieves 85% efficiency while reducing unnecessary thermal generation during operation. Blower fan cooling maintains controlled internal temperatures under elevated electrical loading conditions. The converter supports maximum output power reaching 648 W during specified operating circumstances. The remote sense functionality compensates voltage variations across connected conductors improving output accuracy.
The remote on off control remains electrically isolated from outputs for integration flexibility. A green LED indicator provides immediate confirmation that acceptable DC output exists. Load sharing capability enables coordinated distribution across parallel installations requiring balanced performance. The HWS600-24 AC/DC Converter can be operated in parallel with a single wire and can be connected to 5 units. No minimum load requirement makes it easy to configure the system during the commissioning or when variable demand requirements occur.
The peak current is rated up to 31 A for short periods of time while maintaining regulation. The faults are controlled by latching overvoltage protection in the unit. Input power cycle restarts operation after verification and protective events. It has a conversion capability to adjust the output to meet the application specific voltage optimization requirements. The flexibility of the deployment of the hybrid power infrastructure is enhanced with the DC input. The HWS600-24 can operate in ambient temperatures from -10°C to +70°C and de-rates linearly with temperature above 50°C to 50% of the rated capacity at +70°C. The CE certification demonstrates compliance with the relevant international safety and performance standards. An external load capacitance support of up to 10000 micro-Farad is provided for the 3.3 V and 5 V configurations. A temperature coefficient of 0.02%/degree ensures predictable electrical properties.
The isolation rating is 3 kV for reinforced isolation between critical circuits. The regulation of output is maintained in the presence of input fluctuations for sensitive equipment. The internal topology allows for an efficient conversion of energy and a controlled output parameters during continuous operation.
