TDK-Lambda DRB120-24-1 Power Supply
TDK-Lambda’s DRB120-24-1 is a 120W, compact and highly efficient, single-phase, DIN rail-mountable power supply designed for use in various applications for industrial automation, machine controls and process control. The nominal output of this power supply is 24VDC at a max continuous current of 5 amps, with a max surge current of 6 amps (up to 10 sec) to allow for startup surges; additionally, the DRB120-24-1 has a wide input VAC (85 – 264VAC), allowing for reliable and consistent operation under varying grid conditions world-wide.
Engineered for cost-effective energy efficiency, the DRB120-24-1 can achieve efficiencies of up to 93%, thus lowering the cost associated with the unit's operational requirements as well as improving heat dissipation in control panel enclosures.
Reliability and longevity are key characteristics of the DRB120-24-1, due to the quality of its design and the components used in the design. The unit utilizes high-quality components such as electrolytic capacitors that have been tested to be good for up to 10 years of operation. Compliance to strict international safety standards is also a hallmark of the power supply. In addition to compliance with IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 and UL 508, the DRB120-24-1 also bears CE and UKCA marks.
To ensure that the DRB120-24-1 will not interfere with other devices or systems in a given environment, the unit was designed to meet Curve B limits for both conducted and radiated emissions for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Protective features of the DRB120-24-1 include hiccup mode overcurrent protection, latch-off overvoltage protection and overtemperature protection. The Power Supply also has a DC OK signal to enable remote monitoring capabilities and a green LED to provide local status indicators. The design of the DRB120-24-1 includes a natural cooling system and an operating temperature range from -25 to +70° C, as well as a compact size that allows it to fit on a standard TS-35 DIN rail to save space.
