TDK Lambda FPS1000-48 Front End Power Supply
The TDK Lambda FPS1000-48 is a front end power supply designed for industrial automation and critical power applications. The model incorporates overcurrent protection that triggers between 104 % and 125 % of the maximum rated output current. The overvoltage protection activates within a defined range of 62 V to 66 V to safeguard connected downstream loads. The overtemperature protection features automatic reset to restore operation after the unit returns to a safe temperature.
The FPS1000-48 supports remote on/off control with logic low from 0 to 0.6 V activating the output. A DC OK open collector signal activates when output voltage rises above 80 % of the rated value. An isolated 12 V standby output at 0.25 A remains continuously active regardless of the main output condition. Up to eight FPS1000 units can be paralleled to support scalable high current power system designs. The active power factor correction on the power supply achieves a power factor exceeding 0.98 at full load. The harmonic compliance meets the EN61000-3-2 Class A standard across a load range of 20 % to 100 %. The inrush current is limited to below 40 A to prevent nuisance tripping of upstream circuit protection devices. The hold up time is 20 ms typical under 800 W loading conditions at a 100 Vac input.
The Front End Power Supply accepts a universal input voltage from 85 to 265 Vac or 120 to 360 Vdc. The input frequency compatibility ranges from 47 Hz to 63 Hz to address global utility power frequency standards. The input current is rated at 12 A at 100 Vac and 6 A at 200 Vac under full operating load. The unit derates to 90 % of rated load capacity when the input voltage falls below 100 Vac. The FPS1000-48 Power Supply sustains full rated load operation across a temperature range from 0 °C to 50 °C. Above 50 °C, the unit derates at 2 %/°C up to a maximum ambient operating temperature of 60 °C. The internal variable speed fans manage thermal performance with airflow entering the unit from the front panel. The standalone power supply measures 290 x 127 x 41 mm with a weight of 2000 g.
