TDK Lambda GWS500-24 Single Output Power Supply
Designed for industrial automation, the TDK Lambda GWS500-24 is an enclosed power supply with a single output. It has a maximum continuous output current of 21 amps and a rated DC output voltage of 24 V. Using an external voltage, the power supply allows output voltage change between 22 V and 28.8 V. The peak output current of 25 A is available for short durations of less than 10 seconds. The model accepts a wide AC input voltage range from 85 VAC to 264 VAC for universal compatibility. It also accepts DC input from 120 VDC to 373 VDC to accommodate diverse power source requirements across installations. The input frequency ranges from 47 Hz to 63 Hz covering standard global power grid frequency specifications. The power factor performance of the model meets EN61000-3-2 standards with a typical value of 0.98 at 115 VAC loading conditions.
The efficiency of the Single Output Power Supply is rated at 90 % at 230 VAC which minimizes overall energy dissipation and thermal load in the enclosure. The cooling is handled by internal blower fans that deliver forced air circulation across the complete power stage assembly. The unit operates from – 25 °C to + 70 °C with a cold start capability rated at – 40 °C. The load must be derated linearly to 50 % between + 50 °C and + 70 °C to ensure safe thermal operation. The overcurrent protection on the model uses constant current limiting which activates beyond 105 % of rated output power. The overvoltage protection engages between 30.3 V and 35.5 V to safeguard all connected loads from potential voltage surges. The overtemperature protection triggers an output shutdown requiring manual reset through CNT signal or re powering the unit. The hold up time is consistently maintained at 16 ms across both 115 VAC and 230 VAC input voltage ranges.
The GWS500-24 Power Supply provides a DC Good signal through an open collector output that indicates fault conditions. A green LED indicator displays active output operation while a 5 V standby output of 0.3A remains continuously active. The remote on/off control is achievable through an active low signal allowing system-level power sequencing.
