TDK Lambda LPT-7202-FM Regulated Power Supply
The TDK Lambda LPT-7202-FM is a regulated, triple-output DC power supply. The model provides three independent outputs designated unit A, unit B and unit C. Unit A delivers 0 to 7 volts, while Units B and C deliver 0 to 20 volts. The current ratings for the power supply depend on the ambient operating temperature of the unit. The unit A supplies 5.0 amps at 30 °C and decreases to 3.5 amps at 60 °C. The units B and C supply 1.5 amps at 30 °C, decreasing to 1.0 amp at 60 °C.
The LPT-7202-FM power supply maintains precise voltage regulation under changing line and load conditions. The line regulation equals 0.01 percent plus 1.0 millivolt for variations from 105 to 132 volts. The load regulation equals 0.01 percent plus 1.0 millivolt from no load to full load. The model supports remote programming of its output voltage through an external resistor. The nominal external resistor sensitivity for the power supply is 200 ohms per volt. The programming voltage control on the model follows a one-to-one ratio.
The LPT-7202-FM regulated power supply output ripple and noise measure 500 microvolts rms during normal operation. The peak-to-peak ripple does not exceed 1.5 millivolts with either terminal grounded. The temperature coefficient stays below 0.015 percent plus 0.3 millivolts per degree Celsius. The model’s regulated current output includes an automatic voltage to current crossover function. The line regulation for current output stays below 0.2 percent or 5 milliamperes, whichever is greater. The load regulation for current output also stays below 0.2 percent or 5 milliamperes.
The LPT-7202-FM power supply operates from a 105- to 132-volt AC input at 47 to 440 hertz. The input power consumption for the model reaches 235 watts at full rated load. For 47 to 53 hertz operation, the output current must be derated by 10 percent. The thermal protection for the LPT-7202-FM Regulated Power Supply uses a thermostat that resets automatically after cooling. The electrical protection uses an adjustable automatic electronic current limiting circuit on the power supply. This circuit can be set to 105 percent of the rated output current.
