Aeroflex 3065A PXI RF Low Loss Combiner Module
The Aeroflex 3065A PXI RF Low Loss Combiner is a single slot 3U PXI module. It provides controlled low loss RF signal combining and switching for automated transceiver and component test environments. It operates from 250 MHz to 6 GHz with defined performance and is usable extended response from 70 MHz supports applications requiring characterization of broadband radios and RF subsystems. The unit’s electronically switched RF paths implement deterministic routing for dual and quad port configurations without external mechanical relays. Its Supported modes include A and B to SUM with C terminated and paired A B C D path. These configurations enable precise conditioned excitation and measurement paths for single port and multiport devices under test. Typical insertion loss remains below 9.5 dB through 2.7 GHz and below 11.5 dB to 6 GHz.
The calibration uncertainty of the Aeroflex 3065A RF Combiner is below 0.2 dB to 2.7 GHz and below 0.4 dB at 6 GHz. Its temperature coefficients are 0.006 dB per degree on SUM paths and 0.002 dB on others. Repeatability after mode changes and warm up is more than 0.05 dB while its frequency response flatness is typically within 2.5 dB to 2.7 GHz and 3.5 dB at 6 GHz. The Aeroflex 3065A's return loss at the SUM port typically exceeds 20 dB below 2.7 GHz ensuring controlled impedance matching. Its isolation between A and B ports exceeds 30 dB with typical performance around 35 dB across band. Other port to port isolation paths achieves better than 35 dB supporting stringent crosstalk and leakage requirements.
The SUM input of Aeroflex 3065A accepts plus 30 dBm continuous power. It supports plus 33 dBm pulsed input with 1-to-8-mark space ratio for burst testing. Each RF input port including A B C and D supports up to plus 24 dBm power. All RF interfaces use SMA connectors for ensuring stable repeatable connections within dense industrial PXI test systems. The RF Low Loss Combiner requires power of +3.3 V, +5 V, +12 V and -12 V rails. Its typical current draw on each supply rail is below 50 mA excluding brief startup transients on 3.3 volt. Mechanical design conforms to PXI Specification Revision 2.2 with single width construction for straightforward system integration.
