The 69167B has the capability to generate the signal from 10 MHz to 40 GHz. The instrument also supports the IVI technology, which enables interoperability of the instrument. It does not require any changes at the software end. This technology reduces the development and maintenance cost of the 69167B. It provides the standard interfaces and helps to enable various features. The technology also lets the 69167B support many applications. These applications are used in developmental environments. It includes Visual Basic, Visual C++, and Labview.
The 69167B Signal Generator allows communication through modern technologies. It makes use of a USB and Firewire. The 69167B has extensive application in low-jitter clocks. It is used as the reference for the LASER. The device also has various measurement requirements in optical applications. The instrument provides a sweep width of 1 MHz up to full frequency range in analog sweep mode. The user can select the sweep width independently. The time range of the sweep is 30 ms to 99 seconds.
The 69167B Signal Generator also offers step, alternate, and manual sweep modes. These modes offer various operational and measurement capabilities.
