Keysight/Agilent 44471D 20-Channel General Purpose Relay Module
The 44471D from Keysight (formerly from Agilent) is a 20-channel, 1-wire general-purpose relay module for industrial automation switching. It supports DUT power control, external relay actuation, and attenuator forming tasks. It uses armature latching relays for stable switching states during automated test operations. The 44471D switches up to 250 V per channel. Each relay supports 1A of maximum current, with 60 W or 125 VA per channel switching capacity. The complete module supports 1200 W or 2500 VA for system-level switching requirements.
The relay module provides low thermal offset performance below 3 uV per channel. This supports independent signal switching, where low-level measurement stability remains important. The relay mechanical life is rated at 100 million operations under defined operating conditions. The module provides DC isolation for separated signal paths and chassis protection. The open channel and channel-to-channel resistance exceed 10^11 Ohms at below 40 °C and 60 % RH. The channel to chassis resistance exceeds 5 x 10^11 Ohms under the same environmental reference condition.
The Keysight/Agilent 44471D also defines controlled AC isolation characteristics. With one channel closed, the open channel and channel-to-channel capacitance remain below 7pF. These capacitance values support cleaner signal routing across grouped relay paths. The model’s insertion loss remains low when measured with a 50 Ohm termination across specified frequencies. The module provides an insertion loss of below 0.20 dB at a 100 kHz signal frequency. The insertion loss stays below 0.25 dB at 1 MHz and below 1.0 dB at 10 MHz.
The module also controls crosstalk when measured with a 50 Ohm termination. The crosstalk stays below -73 dB at 100 kHz and below -53 dB at 1 MHz. It also stays below -31 dB at 10 MHz during terminated signal path testing. These values support separated relay paths where multiple channels operate inside one module. The General Purpose Relay Module includes a screw terminal block for field wiring and maintenance. The terminal design helps technicians connect power, control, and signal wiring with organized access.
