Keysight/Agilent N2266A 2-Wire, 40-Channel Multiplexer Module
The N2266A from Keysight/Agilent functions as a 2-wire, 40-channel, high-speed, reconfigurable MUX module. It provides dense signal routing for automated measurements that require fast channel sequencing. The module supports one-wire, two-wire, and four-wire configurations for flexible test architecture. The N2266A mux unit operates in one of two modes: SCPI or 3488A mode. In SCPI mode, it can function as one 80-channel 1-wire unit. The N2266A mux module can also operate as one 40-channel multiplexer that helps in paired signal paths. It works by supporting 2 independent 20-channel systems with an arrangement of 2-wire multiplexers for separated switching groups. The built-in relay cycle counters support maintenance tracking across repeated production test operations. The module contains reed relays that are used to support a maximum scan rate of 350 channels per second. Each channel is designed for low-resistance switching during closed-channel operation. The initial closed channel resistance is specified as below 1 ohm for signal continuity. This value helps maintain controlled path resistance during low-level measurement routing.
The N2266A multiplexer unit also maintains thermal offset below 50 µV for sensitive measurements. It allows 200 V AC peak maximum voltage handling. It supports 0.5 A DC or AC peak current per input path. The maximum power rating is 10 W DC or AC peak. The N2266A 40-Channel module provides high isolation for stable channel separation. HI-to-LO direct current isolation is rated above 10¹? Ohms below 40°C at 60% RH. The channel-to-chassis DC isolation is also rated above 10¹? ohms under the same conditions.
The relay life is specified at 10 mechanical operations at 1 V and 1 mA. This mechanical endurance supports long service use in repetitive automated test sequences. The reed relay design permits fast channel movement during continuous scanning.
The crosstalk with 50 Ohm termination remains below -75 dB at 100 kHz by supporting clean signal separation during low-frequency switching. It can route signals for voltage, resistance, and multi-point test measurements. The Keysight N2266 A multiplexer module supports repeatable switching with defined voltage, current, power, and isolation limits. Its 1-wire mode expands channel count when single-ended switching is required.
