Keysight/Agilent U2331A 64-Channel USB Modular Multifunction Data Acquisition System
The Keysight/Agilent U2331A is a high-performance, 64 single-ended or 32 differential multiplexed analog input, USB-based data acquisition system that has 12-bit resolution, a 3 MSa/s sample rate per channel, and up to 1 MSa/s sample rate for all channels. It also comes with 2 analog output channels that have 12 bits of resolution and are able to update at a rate of 1 MSa/s to allow users to create pre-defined and arbitrary waveforms to help in stimulus response testing and closed-loop control. Additionally, there are 24 programmable TTL input / output lines and 2 general-purpose counters available as well as a burst mode option that simulates simultaneous sampling across the analog input. The U2331A can be operated either stand-alone or from within a U2781A USB chassis (for multi-module synchronization). The optional U2901A or U2902A terminal blocks allow for easy connection of wires via screw terminals.
The High Speed USB 2.0, with USBTMC-USB488 compliance, will enable the U2331A to act as a DMM in polling mode or as a basic digitizing oscilloscope utilizing continuous mode and simple triggering. The supplied Bench Vue software will help users develop test automation, and its ability to seamlessly integrate with other products such as Keysight VEE, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Microsoft Visual Studio will support user-defined application development. The modules' analog outputs provide closed-loop feedback, and the units' 24 digital I/O channels will directly operate switches, relays, and solenoids, allowing it to become a versatile mixed-signal interface for industrial measurement & control applications. The compact size of the module makes it ideal for use in applications where space is limited.

When placed in a U2781A chassis, multiple modules can be synchronized through dedicated trigger lines, thus providing the ability to scale input channels without losing timing accuracy. This ability to synchronize multiple modules is critical for complex test cells.
