LitePoint z8751 PXI Vector Signal Generator

The LitePoint z8751 (Part Number: 01121-01) is a powerful and flexible PXI / PXIe Vector Signal Generator that combines an RF signal source with an I/Q Arbitrary Waveform Generator in order to produce vector modulated signals. Featuring an I/Q Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) that is configured for dual Simultaneous Sampling, the z8751 has 16 bits of DAC vertical resolution. This versatile device is equipped with a maximum of 500 MHz for modulation bandwidth in addition to extremely high linearity and extremely low phase noise. The z8751 from LitePoint is an excellent choice for advanced applications of wireless protocols that require advanced evaluation and assessment features.

The single-ended RF Output Channel of the LitePoint z8751 facilitates wireless signals with ease. This output boasts an output frequency range of 250 MHz to 6 GHz with a resolution of 1 Hz. Designed with advanced connectivity capabilities, the front panel of the z8751 vector signal generator features 7 different connection types. In addition to this RF Output channel, the module includes a LO IN channel for local oscillator input. In addition, the I OUT +,- and Q OUT +,- channels are designed for differential baseband output for I and Q. Each of these channels has an SMA connector type. 

Two of the front panel channels, EXT IN and EXT OUT, are designed for external input and external output of triggers and references. These channels are fitted with SMB connector types. The final channel type on the front panel of the LitePoint z8751 is the Digital Input/Output, which has 4 signals and an 8-pin header connection type.

The LitePoint z8751 is designed with two convenient LED indicators which provide quick visual insight into the status of different aspects of the device. The Ready LED indicates the power status of the hardware, while the Trigger LED displays if trigger events are detected or not.

Physically, the LitePoint z8751 has the dimensions of a Double-Wide 3U PXI(e) Instrument, measuring 8.25 in. x 1.59 in. x 5.25 in. (20.96 cm x 4.03 cm x 13.34 cm), and it weighs in at a total of 27.1 oz. (0.768 kg).
