Because of its design for both laboratory and production settings, this system is perfect for evaluating applications related to renewable energy storage, electric vehicles, and critical power systems. By functioning as a fully programmed power supply, load, or battery, the 9200-4904 model provides a bi-directional source/load and battery cycler, facilitating thorough and effective testing.
With an operating voltage of 40 or 120V, the 9200-4904 system offers power ranges of 12 kW to 252 kW and a modular and scalable power architecture. Up to 21 separate channels are possible because to its highly adjustable design, which provides a great deal of versatility for a variety of testing scenarios. In order to handle constant-voltage (CV), constant-current (CC), and constant-power (CP) regulation, each channel functions as an 8 kW source and a 12 kW sink. Depending on the setup, this flexibility enables testing several smaller batteries at once or testing greater power batteries in parallel.
The NH Research 9200-4904 system's ability to generate electrical power again from waste heat during battery discharge—more than 87% of the energy lost—is one of its main benefits. The regenerative feature not only improves energy efficiency but also lowers the need for air conditioning, makes the workspace cooler, and helps with environmental sustainability initiatives by reducing carbon emissions.
The system's broad operational envelope, which can handle a variety of voltage and current combinations, guarantees that future test requirements are satisfied. The 9200-4904 can also accurately replicate real-world transient circumstances because it has sub-millisecond current, voltage, and mode changes. In order to ensure speed and accuracy in test procedures, these transitions are controlled by macros, which are mini-programs that carry out up to 1000 steps inside the power module.
