The Spirent DLS-400HN is an ADSL Wireline Simulator designed to emulate various local loop conditions for testing Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) and other high-speed digital subscriber line technologies. It reproduces the characteristics of real telephony cables using networks of passive components (inductors, resistors, capacitors), accurately simulating both AC and DC properties of the line. This allows for comprehensive evaluation of ADSL transmission products under controlled and repeatable conditions.
The DLS-400HN includes an IEEE-488 (GPIB) interface that conforms to Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI) specifications, facilitating integration into automated test systems. It offers multiple preset test loops for ADSL testing and allows users to create custom configurations, providing flexibility in simulating different line lengths and impairments. The DLS-400 simulates various local loops for testing Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) transmission products and other high-speed digital subscriber line technologies. It reproduces the characteristics of real telephony cables using networks of passive discrete components (inductors, resistors, capacitors), accurately replicating both AC and DC characteristics of the line.
