Keysight/Agilent E1450A Timing Module
The E1450A from Keysight/Agilent is a 12-channel timing module with 160 MHz designed for precision automated test systems. It is a 2 slot VXIbus module of C size designed for very precise timing control applications. The module contains a timebase, timing generators, trigger circuits and an integrated sequencer. The onboard sequencer of the timing module supports a memory depth of 65,536 (64 k) vectors for test program storage. The multiple test sequences can co reside within this memory space without overwriting one another. The supported functions include Timing Cycle Selection, Breakpoints, Markers and Trigger Arming for structured test execution. All sequencer functions are fully programmable on a cycle by cycle basis to enable precise test sequencing control.
The Timing Module timebase supports a minimum timing cycle duration of 50 ns or 4 subcycles whichever is greater. The maximum timing cycle duration extends up to 1024 subcycles with a resolution of one subcycle. Up to 256 individual timing cycles are fully supported with a total combined length not exceeding 1024 subcycles. The subcycle period spans from 6.25 ns minimum to 409.6 µs maximum at 6.25 ns resolution with 0.01 % accuracy. The module delivers a maximum continuous output current of ± 24 mA per line with 50 Ω typical output impedance. The high open circuit output voltage is a minimum of 4.4 V and the low open circuit voltage is 0.1 V maximum. The + 5 V supply rail requires 1.6 A peak and 80 mA dynamic current for standard operation. The - 5.2 V rail requires 8.9 A peak and the – 2 V rail requires 5.9 A peak each at 150mA dynamic.
The average power consumption of the Keysight/Agilent E1450A Timing Module per slot is 32 Watts with required airflow of 2.8 liter/sec at 0.9mm Water. The module operates within 0 to 55 °C ambient temperature with a storage range of - 40 to 75 °C. The humidity tolerance is 65 % relative from 0 to 40°C. The module weighs 3.0 kg and is designed to fit within a standard two slot C-size VXIbus chassis.
