Keysight E1498A V743/100 VXI Embedded Controller
The E1498A V743/100 VXI Embedded Controller is a high grade computing unit. It is powered by PA-RISC (Power Architecture-RISC) 7100LC processing architecture at a constant 100 MHz. The unit is available with a main memory capacity of 32 MB to 128 MB as per options available. The ECC/SIMM/ RAM support improves memory integrity for extended periods of system operation. A merged 256 KB external cache improves processing efficiency for applications significantly. The integrated dual-ported shared memory provides 1 MB for coordinated subsystem communication tasks advanced. The processing speed is 77.7 MIPS and 121.6 MIPS in supported configurations. The controller features a floating point feature that provides 24.3 MFLOPS and 37.8 MFLOPS of computational power. The unit can be used in combination with A16, A24 and A32 as modes of addressing.
The flexible addressing enables compatibility with varied VXI resources and memory mapping schemes. Single-channel DMA capability assists extended memory devices during data transfer operations efficiently. The interface offers a 1 Megabytes dual-ported memory buffer for high speed exchanges. The unit uses TTL Trigger Bus support facilitates synchronized event handling across connected VXI modules. Integrated P1/P2 connectors provide established backplane connectivity for compatible system architectures and expansions. The unit aids to maintain proper communication pathways between installed resources. The input and output connectivity includes GPIB accommodating IEEE-488.2 communication support. Two RS-232C serial device interface ports provide efficient integration and management of serial devices in systems.
