Keysight/Agilent E9820A Snapshot Memory Module
The E9820A from Keysight/Agilent is a Snapshot Memory Module for signal analysis, signals development and COMINT systems. The module enables engineers to capture deep and wide bandwidth snapshots of energy of interest with precision. The engineers receive a precise second chance window for deep offline analysis of captured signal data using the memory module. The module is equipped with eight SDRAM DIMM sockets that enable scalable snapshot memory configurations. The memory configurations range from 128 MB to a maximum capacity of 1024 MB. This memory range allows it to be configured for the needs of each specific deployment. The module supports total snapshot data collection for user data up to 1024 MB per acquisition session.
The Snapshot Memory Module is particularly suited for COMINT and signals development applications involving intermittent or non cooperative emission sources. The signal engineers working with frequency hopping or burst mode signals benefit from the module's high capacity snapshot approach. The E9820A's capture and hold architecture preserves transient signal events for thorough analysis and detailed post processing workflows. The memory module supports input and output data transfers on its local bus at up to 53 MB/sec. This bandwidth is sufficient for moving large signal datasets efficiently to and from the module during acquisition. It is fully VXI plug & play compatible that enables quick integration into standard VXI based signal analysis infrastructure. It is suitable for both new system builds and as a performance enhancement within existing VXI based platforms.
The E9820A Snapshot Memory Module is rated for reliable operation across a clearly defined set of environmental conditions. The operating temperature range for the module spans from 0 °C to 55 °C for controlled and field environments. The relative humidity tolerance extends to 95 % at a reference temperature of 40 °C under non condensing conditions. The operating altitude support for the module reaches up to 4,600 meters or 15,000 feet above sea level. The storage temperature limits for the Keysight/Agilent module span from – 40 °C to 70 °C to cover the full range of transport and warehousing conditions. The non operating altitude ceiling is specified at 15,300 meters which is the equivalent of 50,000 feet.
