Keysight 34465A Truevolt Digital Multimeter
The Keysight 34465A is a 6½-digit Truevolt digital multimeter with precise measurement in R&D and quality control labs and industrial automation applications. The multimeter incorporates advanced metrology and easy-to-use functionality with reliable data acquisition in DC/AC voltage and current measurements, resistance measurements, frequency measurements, temperature measurements, and capacitance measurements. The multimeter employs Truevolt technology, a patented technology in which a high-resolution analog-to-digital converter is coupled with algorithms for reduced noise to ensure accuracy up to 30 ppm for DC voltage and 1 GΩ resistance measurements with zero minimum injected current and environment disturbance.
The 4.3” color graphic display on the 34465A allows real-time visualization through trend charts, bar meters, and histograms to aid in rapid dynamic signal analysis. Its digitizing mode captures transient events in 50,000 readings/s and data logging functionality (to 2 million readings with memory option) makes it easy to monitor long-term trends. Low power applications are taken care of with a 1 µA current range (pA resolution) and increased diode testing to 5 V and it is perfect for testing sensitive components and LEDs. The flexibility in temperature measurements is provided with RTD, thermistor, and thermocouple support and it is calibrated to ISO/IEEC 17025 standards for traced accuracy.
The use of BenchVue software significantly enhances productivity through remote operation, synchronization of multiple instruments, and easy exportation of data to programs like Excel, MATLAB, or Word. The 34465A is equipped with secure rear-panel terminals for use in automated test and measurement systems and is supported with interfaces in the form of USB, LAN/LXI, and the available GPIB for simple system integration. The advanced triggering modes with external TTL-compatible inputs ensure accurate timing with high-speed applications. High protection features including 1,000 V input protection and dual fuses for current ranges and automatic self-cal for temperature drift compensation allow accurate measurements in 0–55°C operating temperatures. The 10 MΩ input impedance reduces the circuit loading required when taking high impedance measurements. The 15 kHz bandwidth digitizing mode and 10:1 crest factor handling in the 34465A allow it to measure complex power electronics and EMI measurements. Its compact bench- or rack-mount form factor and low-thermal-EMF copper terminals allow measurements to survive and endure in harsh industrial environments.
