The National Instruments SH96-96-2 (Part Numbers: 157350-05, 157350-03, 157350-01) Analog Cable makes it easier to connect compatible rackmount Terminal Blocks to the PXIe-4339 PXI Strain/Bridge Input Module or the PXIe-4302 and PXIe-4303 PXI Analog Input Modules. There are three different lengths available for this insulated cable: one, three, and five meters. The cable has twisted pairs with a maximum operating voltage of 60 VDC across all pin combinations.

The twisted pairs range from 28 AWG for pairs 1 through 20 to 22 AWG for pair 21 to 28 AWG for pairings 22 through 24. It uses a 96-pin Type C DIN 41612/IEC 60603-2 female connection and a 96-pin Type R DIN 41612/IEC 60603-2 male connector. The cable is rated for Pollution Degree 2 and is intended for interior usage with a maximum altitude of 2,000 m (800 mbar). It weighs 1,187 g (42.2 oz) for 1 meter, 2,040 g (72.6 oz) for 3 meters, and 2,894 g (102.1 oz) for 5 meters. It satisfies MIL-PRF-28800F Class 2 high temperature limit and Class 3 low temperature limit requirements by operating within the specified operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C and relative humidity range of 10% to 90% (non-condensing). It can tolerate storage conditions ranging from -40 °C to 71 °C and non-condensing relative humidity from 5% to 95%.

When operating (5 Hz to 500 Hz, 0.3 g rms) or not operating (5 Hz to 500 Hz, 2.4 g rms), the cable is designed to withstand operational shocks of 30 g peak, half-sine, 11 ms pulse, and random vibrations. This cable guarantees the safety of electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory usage by complying with safety standards including IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CSA 61010-1.
