Featured with 2 Analog Outputs, 6 Digital Inputs, and 4 Digital Outputs, the National Instruments PCI-6010 (Part Number: 779348-01) is a Multifunction I/O Device. This model can be utilized for counter/timer I/O; thus, it is an ideal solution for a broad range of OEM products or applications in manufacturing test, design verification, automation, laboratory, research, etc. The PCI-6010 comes equipped with a D-SUB type 37-pin connector and can be connected to various available D-SUB components.
Two 32-bit counters/timers provided on the PCI-6010 support many types of counter measurements, including: pulse, edge counting, period, semi-period, two-edge separation, etc. Moreover, the output applications possible with the integrated counters are: pulse, frequency division, and equivalent time sampling. The NI PCI-6010 is a PCI based I/O device with 3 DMA channels (analog input, counter/timer 0, and counter/timer 1). This device can be deployed in 3.3 V or 5 V signal environment.
For external digital triggers, any PFI line provided on this Multifunction I/O Device can be used as a source. For most signals, it can select polarity through software-selection. The National Instruments NI PCI 6010 comes with 8 differential or 16 single ended analog input channels and 16 bits ADC. These channels support DC input coupling and can acquire samples at 200 kS/s (in single channel mode) and 33.3 kS/s (while scanning). The input range of these analog input channels is ±5 V, ±1 V, ±0.2 V. This device has one frequency generator, as well as 10 MHz, 100 KHz base clocks.
The PCI 6010 is run using the NIDAQmx driver software which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI.
The NI device measures 4.7 x 3.4 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 55 °C, a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 10 to 90%. The multifunction I/O device is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1.
PCI-6010 End of Life Status has been announced by National Instruments, but will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
