Each of the eight digital output channels is sourcing, meaning the module supplies current to the connected load when an output is activated. The outputs support update times of up to 100 µs, making the module suitable for applications that require consistent and predictable digital control. Individual channel LEDs provide visual confirmation of output status, which can simplify system monitoring and troubleshooting.
The 779137-01 provides transient overvoltage protection rated at 2,300 Vrms between the outputs and the backplane, helping protect the system from electrical disturbances. It also provides 250 Vrms ground isolation for additional protection between the field-side signals and the system.
