National Instruments cDAQ-9137 Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Why does the NI cDAQ-9137 have two different part numbers? Do they have any important differences?

Answer: The NI cDAQ-9137 is available for two different operating systems. The first version, part number 784240-01, has Windows Embedded Standard 7 OS. The second version, part number 784241-01, has NI Linux Real-Time OS.

Question: I’ve set up the NI cDAQ-9137 for unsupervised, continuous data capture and logging for an extended period of time using LabVIEW and adding the cDAQ as a target. However, the C Series Module prompt is missing when I try to add targets. What do I need to do?

Answer: With the NI cDAQ-9137, you should be able to read I/O without explicitly adding in C Series Modules with your CompactDAQ Controller. No FPGA interface is required, so the controller can read I/O directly from the cDAQ-9137.

Question: How many host ports does the NI cDAQ-9137 Controller have?

Answer: The NI cDAQ-9137 Controller has 2 Host ports with 2 standard A connectors.

Question: Which type of SD cards does the cDAQ-9137 work with?

Answer: The cDAQ-9137 is compatible with SD and SDHC standards.
