Part number 780471-01 from National Instruments is for the cRIO-9073 Controller. This integrated RealTime Controller is made specifically for CompactRIO, boasting a Xilinx Spartan-3 2M FPGA with 720 kbits of block RAM available.  The 780471-01 is equipped with an RS-232 serial port that allows for additional serial devices to be connected. This serial port operates at a maximum baud rate of 115,200 bps, offering various parity options such as Odd, Even, Mark, and Space. Additionally, the port has multiple flow control options for efficient communication- including RTS/CTS, XON/XOFF, and DTR/DSR. 

The 780471-01 is a versatile choice for a wide variety of applications. It has multiple DIP switches that can be configured by the user to meet the needs of a specific test application, including Safe Mode, Console Out, IP Reset, No App, User1, and No FPGA. In addition, the controller features four LEDs; Power, FPGA, Status, and User1, to indicate the status of those individual features at a glance. The User1 LED is able to be configured to suit the requirements of the specific application.

The 780471-01 maintains a maximum power consumption of 20 W, with a recommended power supply of 48 W at 24 VDC. The input of the power supply for the controller ranges between 19 V and 30 V.

The screw-terminal wiring of the 780471-01 is suitable for gauges ranging from 26 AWG to 14 AWG (equivalent to 0.13 mm² to 2.1 mm²) for copper conductor wire. The wiring and components within the controller have a temperature rating of up to 85 °C (185 °F). The connectors of the 780471-01 are secured through screw flanges that require a torque of 0.3 N · m to 0.4 N · m (2.7 lb · in. to 3.5 lb · in.).
