National Instruments PCI-MIO-16XE-10 Multifunction I/O Device

Featured with eight 5 V CMOS/TTL compatible DIO lines and two 24-bit up/down counters, the National Instruments PCI-MIO-16XE-10, also known as PCI-6030E (Part Numbers: 777384-01, 183742F-01) is a Multifunction DAQ. This DAQ comes with a self-calibration feature that does not require external reference. The NI PCI-MIO-16XE-10 has 2 voltage outputs (with a resolution of 16 bits), 16 analog inputs, and 2 counters. The analog input channels provided on this board can be configured to operate in either differential or single-ended mode. In single-ended mode, all 16 analog inputs can be used. However, in differential input mode, up to 8 input channels can be used. The device is equipped with a 68-pin male SCSI-II type I/O connector.

The NI PCI-MIO-16XE-10 receives the required power from its host PCI slot. Thus, no additional power supply is needed to operate this device. This PCI based, Multifunction DAQ typically acquires 100 thousand samples per second. The PCI-MIO-16XE-10 features a powerful analog-to-digital converter for seamless acquisitions. All the analog inputs and the AI SENSE Input of this DAQ device operate under continuous monitoring for overvoltage conditions. The actuation of the integrated overvoltage protection results in immediate tripping of the unit to protect the board, host computer as well as any connected load.

The PCI-MIO-16XE-10 is run using the NIDAQ 7 driver software which is compatible with software packages or application development environments such as LabVIEW, Measurement Studio, or LabWindows/CVI.

The voltage output channels of the PCI-MIO-16XE-10 are equipped with a FIFO buffer that is 2,048 samples. This data acquisition device has onboard self-calibration which is software controlled. The DAQ requires external calibration at least once a year. The PCI-MIO-16XE-10 is offered with a powerful and user-friendly application. Moreover, the installation and configuration of this board does not involve any switches or jumpers.

The NI device weighs 7.4 oz, and measures 6.9 x 4.2 in. in physical dimensions. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 to 50 °C and –20 to 70 °C respectively, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 10 to 90% RH. The PCI-MIO-16XE-10 is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1
