NI-5753, 12 or 16 Channel, Digitizer Adapter Module for FlexRIO
National Instruments NI-5753 Digitizer Adapter Module for FlexRIO
The National Instruments NI-5753 is a 16-Bit Digitizer Adapter Module, designed explicitly for FlexRIO based systems. This powerful module can sample 12 channels simultaneously at 120 MS/s in conjunction with a PXI FPGA Module for FlexRIO. This Digitizer Adapter Module is offered in an AC-coupled version (Part Number: 784429-01) and a DC-coupled version (Part Number: 784429-02). The AC-coupled build of the NI-5753 comes with 16 channels and 0.1 MHz to 250 MHz frequency range. However, the DC-coupled build has 12 channels and DC to 250 MHz frequency range. The National Instruments NI-5753 features a robust, AD9653 type analog-to-digital converter (ADC).
This module has a 120 MHz internal sample clock to provide access to the external sample clock and external reference clock. This module comes equipped with a dedicated, CLK in connector. As far as its AUX I/O characteristics are concerned, the NI 5753 offers 16 AC-coupled analog input channels and 12 directional channels (8 DIO and 4 PFI) through HDMI connectors. Both variations of this module are compatible with Kintex-7 and Virtex-5 FPGAs. In its AC-coupled build, the NI-5753 can operate over an analog input voltage range of -0.9 Vpp to 0.9 Vpp.
The AC-coupled CLIP provided with this model comes with a User Command Interface provision; thus, it can be used for sending raw I2C and SPI access to the module and to select different clock modes. The National Instruments NI-5753 offers a variety of clocking options. The clock source not only controls the sample rate, but other timing functions on the device as well.
