Each device from this module range is assigned a unique 48-bit Ethernet hardware address at the factory. 

This address is used to specify the source and destination of Ethernet packets. Additionally, the TCP/IP protocols of the  require a separate 32-bit Internet address to locate a device on the network. The Internet address is unrelated to the Ethernet hardware address. It can be operated using Linux, Solaris, or Windows 2000. Compatible software includes Measurement Studio and LabVIEW, with NI-488.2 as the driver software. The firmware code is stored in the flash EEPROM, eliminating the need for a physical EEPROM. Additionally, this device requires an input power of 9 to 30 VDC.
