The analog input channels are protected against overvoltage, with ±25 V protection for up to two AI pins when the device is on, and ±15 V protection when the device is off. The NI 781047-01 I/O device features an output FIFO with a capacity of 8,191 samples, shared among all active channels. Data transfers are managed through DMA (scatter-gather) or programmed I/O. For analog output (AO) waveform modes, the device supports non-periodic waveforms, periodic waveform regeneration from the onboard FIFO, and periodic waveform regeneration from the host buffer, including dynamic updates.
