This Automotive Ethernet Interface Module supports a maximum of four independent endpoints. The NI PXIe-8521 module can additionally support a maximum of 2 network terminal access points.
The National Instruments PXIe-8521 PXI Automotive Ethernet Interface Module is produced with many useful features, such as onboard hardware timestamping. The front panel of the PXIe-8521 module is equipped with several LED indicators, which allow the user to monitor the network link and activity. This module also can act as a maximum of four individual 802.1AS masters or slaves. This feature enables the module to synchronize with an external network and the remainder of a PXI system. The NI PXIe-8521 is manufactured as a Gen 2 x4 PXI Express, rev 1.0 compliant module. The PXIe-8521 contains Weidmuller BLF 3.50, 3-position I/O connectors. The NI PXIe-8521 module is built with a network tap latency of 1.73 μs.
