National Instruments 782384-01 PXI Matrix Switch Module
The part number 782384-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PXIe-2532B PXI Matrix Switch Module. This PXI Matrix Switch Module has been built with different configurable methods that enables the module to connect and switch signals, such as the 1 wire and 2 wire dual and quad topologies. This module supports maximum input switching voltage of 100 V channel to channel and 100 V, CAT channel to ground with a maximum current of 0.5 A per channel and a maximum switching power of 10 W per channel. It has a DC isolation resistance of less than 1 Ω, initial and less than 2 Ω end of life.
The input source trigger signals of the PXI Matrix Switch Module can be routed to trigger lines 0 through 7 with a minimum pulse width of 150 ns. These trigger lines in a module are used for system synchronization and system coordination when connected with other modules while the destination output trigger signals can be routed to trigger lines 0 through 7 with a pulse width of 1 μs to 62 μs. To power the module 10 W at 5 V and 2 W at 3.3 V is required.
The 782384-01 is designed as a single-slot 3U (3 unit) module compatible with PXI (PCI extensions for Instrumentation) or cPCI (CompactPCI) systems. Its dimensions are 18.5 cm × 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm (7.3 × 0.8 × 5.1 in.) and weighs 454 g (1 lb).
To operate this module it is recommended by the manufacturer to use it in an environment with an ambient temperature between 0 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius and can also be stored in an environment with a temperature of -20 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity rating is 5% to 85%, non-condensing. With a Pollution degree level of 2 the is suitable for environments with low to moderate levels of contamination. This module is designed for indoor use only and can be mounted at altitude of 2000 meters. Its operational Shock rating is 30 g peak, half-sine, 11 ms pulse while its random operating vibrations are 5 Hz to 500 Hz, 0.3 grms, making it suitable for harsher working environments.
