National Instruments part number 776336-12 is an identifying part number for the SC-2062, an Electromechanical Relay with 8 Channels, SPDT Relay and One 26-pin male ribbon-cable connector with 26 screw terminals. This Relay Board can be mounted on a workbench or in a rack-mount chassis with either a flat plastic cover or a metal wraparound cover. Like other models in the SC-206x Series, the NI 776336-12 can connect to any 8-bit digital port of various NI DAQ instruments using SC-205x Series cable adapters. Compatible DAQ devices include the E Series/60xxE, 6503 (DIO-24), 6533 (DIO-32HS), and 6508 (DIO-96). 

It does not require any additional software beyond what is needed for the Data Acquisition Board used with it. This electromechanical relay digital output board has eight single-pole, dual-throw (SPDT) relays controlled by eight digital lines connected to the board. Each relay has a normally closed (NC) contact connected to the common (COM) contact when the digital output line is low and a normally open (NO) contact connected to the COM contact when the digital line is high. The contacts are break-before-make, ensuring that all three contacts are never shorted simultaneously. The maximum working voltage isolation from contact-to-coil and from contact-to-contact is 250 Vrms. 

This module board allows you to control various field digital signals with a computer equipped with a National Instruments data acquisition board. The 776336-12 is compatible with the digital ports of any board in the SC-205X Series when it is connected to the correct board. This enables the 776336-12 to provide relay output for National Instruments data acquisition boards compatible with Macintosh II, IBM PS/2 Micro Channel, and PC/XT/AT computers. There is a small gap between the screw terminal blocks of adjacent channels. Users need to be cautious when connecting or disconnecting signal lines to the screw terminals; always turn off the power to the lines. Differences between the lines and the  ground can create a shock hazard while connecting the lines.
