National Instruments 777722-02 Shielded Carrier
The NI 777722-02 is a shielded SC?2345 signal conditioning carrier featuring customizable side-panel connectors and the SCC?PWR02 universal AC power supply. It has been developed for interfacing 68-pin E/M Series DAQ (Data Acquisition) cards with SCC (Signal Conditioning Cards). This version contains a side-mount connector that can directly connect to PCMCIA DAQ cards. Additionally, it includes an interchangeable panel system that can support multiple termination options, such as the miniature thermocouple jack, banana, LEMO, D-sub, and SMB. The 777722-02 included a supply of DC power from a filtered source inside the enclosure, and will accept either 120VAC or 240VAC as its input. The filtered DC voltage will then be supplied to the internal circuitry within the SCC modules. In environments requiring very high noise immunity and low-noise signal transmission, this configuration is optimal.
In addition to providing multiple terminations for SCC conditioned analog and/or digital signals, the 777722-02 also offers 42 screw terminals on the back of the unit. These screw terminals allow you to have direct access to all the DAQ devices' digital I/O, PFI lines, and control signals, eliminating the need for additional breakout boards for most applications. This unit is suitable for both mobile laptop-based field measurements and fixed desktop-based systems. It will provide per-channel analog and digital conditioning through the use of a wide variety of available plug-in SCC modules. The 777722-02's rugged shielded enclosure will reduce the amount of electromagnetic interference (EMI), therefore, making it an excellent choice for automated test equipment (ATE), sensor logging, and process monitoring. In order to ensure consistent, reliable, and accurate data, these applications require the measurement of various transducers.
Optional rack mount and stack mount configurations are available for mounting the SC-2345 in standard 19" racks or compact vertical stacks with other SCC systems for scalable multi-channel architectures. The side cable connection provides easier cabling in tight bay areas. Also, because of the Panelettes (interchangeable front panels), users can customize their front panel connections without having to make any permanent changes. Whether in a laboratory setting for prototyping purposes or permanently mounted in an Industrial Control Cabinet, the SC-2345 part number 777722-02 provides a low noise pathway between physical signals and digital conversion hardware with flexibility and reliability to meet today's needs in automation/instrumentation.
