National Instruments SC-2345 Shielded Carrier

The SC-2345 (Part Numbers: 777458-01, 777458-02, 777458-03, 777722-01, 777722-02, 777722-03, 778018-01, 778018-02, 778018-03) is an efficient Shielded Carrier from National Instruments. This carrier comes equipped with the capability to transfer signals to and from DAQ devices, including a 68-pin E/M DAQ device. The NI SC-2345 Signal Conditioning Connector Block offers various useful features, such as low-noise, a rugged build, and easy to use signal conditioning. The signal conditioning feature is separate for each channel. The model also incorporates 42 screw terminals, which enables the model for direct connectivity to a DAQ device and boosts the operational capabilities of the NI SC-2345 Signal Conditioning Connector Block. For digital I/O connections, 8 20-pin connectors are provided with the module. Additionally, 16 20-pin connectors are available for analog I/O connections.

The SC-2345 is run using the NIDAQ driver software (version 7.4 or later) which is compatible with software packages/application development environments such as LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI. It can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.

The NI SC-2345 supports various modules, which includes analog I/O and digital I/O SCC modules. It offers the onboard output voltage reference of 5 V ± 2.5 mV. The long-term stability of the SC-2345 Carrier is ±15 ppm per 1000 hours and the peak-to-peak value is four micro-volts. The NI SC-2345 Signal Conditioning Connector Block comes with configurable connectors. The user can complete the required setting in real time to fulfill various requirements.  It allows the user to maximize the flexibility for I/O with the help of panelettes. The SC-2345 Carrier is portable, since it only weighs around 1.51 kilograms and has the physical dimensions of 10.00 W x 12.11 L x 1.93 D inches. This model is suitable for use in laptop and desktop applications. The model’s package also includes a rack mount and stack mount accessories, so the user can mount the NI SC-2345 for their desired application. The rack mount option supports the standard 19-inch rack.

The NI device has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 to 50 °C and –20 to 70 °C respectively, and a non-condensing humidity range of 10 to 90% RH.
