National Instruments 777687-31 Terminal Block 

National Instruments part number 777687-31 is an identifying part number for the SCXI-1331, a Terminal Block with 64 Channels and maximum Current of 2 ADC, 2 AAC per channel. The NI 777687-31 Terminal Block attaches to the front of an SCXI-1127 or SCXI-1128 Multiplexer/Matrix Switch Module, offering 64 screw terminals for connections. It is ideal for using the SCXI-1127 or SCXI-1128 to scan thermocouple or voltage signals, or when a matrix configuration other than 8 columns by 4 rows is needed. It can configure the SCXI-1127/1128 Switch Module as a 64 x 1, 1-wire matrix; a 32 x 1, 2-wire matrix; or a 16 x 1, 4-wire matrix. 

The General-Purpose 777687-31 Terminal Block is designed for signal conditioning and cold-junction compensation, making it suitable for multiplexer or custom matrix applications. The 64 screw terminals on this Terminal Block allow access to the matrices and also have terminals for external trigger signals. To connect signals to the NI 777687-31, start by stripping no more than 7 mm of insulation from the end of the signal wire. Next, remove the top cover screw and the top cover. Run the signal wires through the strain-relief aperture after loosening the two strain-relief screws on the strain-relief bar. Insert the stripped end of the wire fully into the terminal and tighten the terminal screw to secure the wire. 

Connect the safety earth ground to the safety ground lug, then tighten the two strain-relief screws to secure the cables. Finally, reinstall the top cover and replace the top cover screw. The 777687-31 module is rated for Measurement Category II and is intended to carry signal voltages up to 300 V. It offers 1390 Vrms isolation between input signals and the chassis, verified by a dielectric withstand test with a maximum duration of 1 minute. This device is recommended to operate within a temperature range of 0 °C to 50 °C. It has a storage temperature range of –20 °C to 70 °C and supports a non-condensing relative humidity range of 10% to 90%.
