National Instruments SCXI-1000DC Chassis for SCXI
The NI SCXI-1000DC (Part Number: 776570-00) is a rugged, DC Chassis for SCXI. This 4-Slot model offers low noise performance. This model does not only supply power to SCXI modules, but also controls all trigger, timing, and signal routing functions as well. For future expansion or larger systems, up to eight NI SCXI-1000DC Chassis can be daisy chained with one multifunction I/O module or device for applications where high-channel count is required. The user can utilize any 9.6 to 16 VDC power supply to power up the SCXI‑1000DC.
This chassis comes with shielded enclosures and forced air cooling arrangement for SCXI modules. The low-environment offered by this model makes it an ideal solution for signal conditioning. The SCXI‑1000DC comes with 3 internal analog busses. When required, the SCXI 1000DC can also be operated from an AC power outlet with the help of the optional SCXI-1383 float charger/power supply. The SCXI chassis has a unique architecture because it features an SCXIbus for routing digital and analog signals and acts as a communication conduit between installed modules. Chassis control circuitry incorporated in this model manages all signal routing to and from the SCXIbus and ensures tight synchronization between the DAQ device and the SCXI modules attached.
This chassis can be configured for 32 different addresses. Thus, users can connect multiple SCXI chassis to one control source. For selection of the chassis address, three jumpers are provided behind the front panel of the chassis slot # 0. To reinitialize the slot # 0 and all plugged modules to their power-on state, a Reset button is also provided.
SCXI-1000DC End of Life Status has been announced by National Instruments, but will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
