National Instruments PCI-232/2 Serial Interface

The National Instruments PCI-232/2 (Part Number: 777642-02) is a 2-port, RS-232 Serial Interface. This model is fully compatible with PCI Specs Ver 2.2 standard and supports both 32-bit and 64-bit PCI bus, as well as 3.3 V and 5 V connector keys. This 2-port RS232 PCI Card comes with a DB-9 male connector with standard pin assignments for RS232 and RS485 connectors.

 The NI PCI-232/2 offers up to 115.2 kb/s maximum transfer rate, 64 B FIFO, and 15 kV Line ESD protection. This Multi-2/PCI 232 Serial Interface operates in the hand-shaking mode with RS-232 Full-duplex bus transceivers, RS-232 1 Driver per line, and RS-232 1 Receiver per line. With this interface card, it is possible to use any Windows-based personal computer since it supports Windows OS (up to XP). In addition, the NI PCI-232/2 supports the Linux operating system.
