National Instruments SLSC-12101 Prototyping Module

The National Instruments SLSC-12101 (Part Number: 785204-01) is a specially designed, Level-2 Compatible Prototyping Module. This device is intended to assist SLSC module developers with their prototype designs. This module comes equipped with a preprogrammed module controller called MAX V CPLD. The prototyping area of this device offers access to 3.3 V and 24 V rails.  In addition, a 5 V auxiliary power supply rail can be accessed from the prototyping area.

The DSUB connectors available on the front panel of the module can be accessed from the first and second bank of the prototyping area. The RTI that is denoted as the fifth region in the prototyping area offers surplus space that can be utilized to access the I/O connectors available at the rear of the device. The NI SLSC-12101 comes with a broad range of peripherals, including a 16-position rotary switch, two front panel LEDs, four temperature sensors, and 17 8-bit wide ports. This Prototyping Module features a populated JTAG header which allows programming of the CPLD with a customized design.  

The NI SLSC-12101 offers a big area for prototyping. The prototyping area on this board is divided into five areas. This Prototyping Module comes with the rear and front connectors as required by the SLSC Design Guidelines. This Prototyping Module comes with user-configurable power supplies for three CPLD banks. With this module, you can monitor signals directly through a logic analyzer by using a dedicated, 3-pin MICTOR connector provided between the SLSC and CPLD interface connector. The NI SLSC-12101 has two 44-position DSUB front I/O connectors as well.  

SLSC-12101 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the prototyping module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
